Mrs. Ross's HOT ART Bus experience reimagines classic artists through fresh inspired activations, sparking Higher-Order Thinking through, creativity, belonging, connection, and community.
Mrs. Ross’s HOT ART Bus is a mobile, artist-inspired art activation led by a licensed art educator. The bus functions as a traveling studio and visual invitation: guests step up, choose materials, learn a quick connection to a great artist, and create their own piece through a hands-on prompt. Each activation can work as a drop-in experience or guided workshop, with projects scaled for age, time, crowd size, and setting. Guests might build Frida-inspired self-portrait collages, create Keith Haring-style symbol stories, design Georgia O’Keeffe bee’s-eye-view flowers, make Van Gogh iris dot paintings, or construct Picasso-inspired music instruments. The experience is staffed by Mrs. Ross, with optional support for larger events. Projects can be customized around a theme, community event, season, artist, or learning goal. Guests begin with a brief introduction, receive the tools and materials for the featured project, and are guided through the creative process from start to finish. Along the way, there’s space for conversation, reflection, and creative exploration. At its heart, HOT ART means Higher-Order Thinking through Art: guests connect, imagine, experiment, and leave with both artwork and a sense of belonging.
