The Collaboratory Outdoor Music Deck is the ideal mobile tool for providing unique, customizable experiences to those who are both ambitious & curious about musical composition in do-it-yourself settings. TERRELL X pilots TCOMD to the scene as a trailer, then unfolds it to transform average social gatherings into events that promote collaboration, skills development & sound-driven fun for everyone!

Inspired by the 1984 Transformers cartoon technology of Optimus Prime’s semi-truck trailer (which unfolded to reveal the “Combat Deck” battle station), TCOMD is a rugged, raw, sturdy, steel platform that holds a portable sound system. This space invites attendees to take the stage and explore the art of creating music on the spot, from scratch…With or without traditional instrumentation.

A typical event with TCOMD involves participants watching TERRELL X deliver an interactive live performance, with guitar & vocal effects pedals, that doubles as a tutorial on Human Beat Boxing & how to turn their bodies into instruments. A no-judgment environment holds participant’s attention – while breaking down barriers of apprehension and stage fright. Participants leave with complimentary TCOMD-branded hand instruments & further encouragement to pursue using the human body to compose music.

Standard Neighborhood Event Rate: Live performance, Human Beat Boxing tutorial and branded take-aways: 2 hours for $1,200

 Standard Event Includes:
The Collaboratory Outdoor Music Deck (TCOMD) will arrive equipped with a sound system & effects pedals for creating music on-the-fly. TERRELL X will deliver 2 hours of interactive live performance, Human Beat Boxing/Body Percussion instruction and on-stage, collaborative music composition, for a Standard Music Event rate of $1,200. Participants will leave with complimentary TCOMD-branded percussion instruments to take home.

Additional and customizable options:
TCOMD is set up, operated and facilitated by TERRELL X for the duration of the event. TCOMD is available for a full day rate of $2,000. Programming can be customized to fit specific event themes. TERRELL X can provide email for collecting feedback.

Corporate / Large Event Rate:
The Collaboratory Outdoor Music Deck will arrive equipped with a sound system & effects pedals for creating music on-the-fly. TERRELL X will deliver 2 hours of interactive live performance, Human Beat Boxing/Body Percussion instruction and on-stage, collaborative music composition, at a Corporate Event Rate of $2,500.
TCOMD is available for a full day rate of $4,500. Participants will leave with complimentary TCOMD-branded percussion instruments to take home. Special company-branded garments & take-aways can be arranged for production if requested in-advance at time of booking.

Transport Size–this is generally the smallest size, use this to determine fit through doors, etc. (LxWxH):

TCOMD fits through roll-up doors on a trailer.

Footprint–how much space is ideal for basic set-up (LxWxH):
TCOMD unfolds/opens up with 11x11x8 dimensions when set up–with space in front of trailer for audience a minimum of 20′ x 20′ is required.

Additional Specification Details:
TCOMD is best utilized in outdoor settings, but can be used indoors with large entrances and ample space to expand when set up. All sound and power requirements are provided by TERRELL X. The stage area can hold up to 6 people at a time.
